It is the third week of school already! In fifth grade, we are beginning the understanding of chordal structure and its importance and place in the music around us. To help us better develop an ear for these different chords and chord progressions, we are invited ukuleles to the party. This week the fifth grade classes will learn a basic I IV V or V7 progression. We will use the C, F and G or G7 chords on the ukulele to help us. After we become acquainted with the transitioning between chords, we will create short compositions and add individual lyrics!
